What does “Social Capital” mean to you?
Generally speaking the term capital refers to a durable asset, that is used by corporations to generate wealth through investment. I truly believe that social capital has the same value for individuals: When you invest in human relationships, you receive an immense value back in return. It provides you with the wonderful opportunity to build bridges to new ideas, diverse opinions and rich cultures. A great network allows you to grow personal and professional wise.
What makes you successful in what you do?
“Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.” I love this quote, because it reminds me that having a talent is great, but hard work is ultimately the key for sustainable success. I truly believe that people are successful in what they do when they work hard, show passion and take responsibility for doing the things right.
What are your aspirations as a 1World Mentor for the 1World Social Capital Program?
In my career, I have always had great mentors who challenged me and helped me to grow. By supporting the 1World Social Capital Program I want to give back and be a coach to students and young talents, who are ready to start their career.
What does your ideal 1World Mentee look like?
Open minded. Hungry to learn. Ready to leave the comfort zone and challenge ideas.
